Embed API Docs

Address every movie and TV series by its TMDB ID. No API key, no signup, no rate-limit handshake — just an iframe.

How to embed movies on your website

  1. Find the title’s TMDB ID — it’s in every themoviedb.org URL (e.g. themoviedb.org/movie/533535).
  2. Build the embed URL: https://embedwave.cc/embed/movie/533535 (movies) or https://embedwave.cc/embed/tv/1399/1/1 (series).
  3. Paste the iframe snippet below into any page. That’s the whole integration.

New to embeds? The step-by-step guide covers ID lookup, responsive sizing, and provider migration in more depth. Ready-made snippets for plain HTML, React and Next.js live in the examples repo on GitHub.

Movie embed

url
https://embedwave.cc/embed/movie/{tmdb_id}

Replace {tmdb_id} with the TMDB movie ID (e.g. 533535).

TV series embed

url
https://embedwave.cc/embed/tv/{tmdb_id}/{season}/{episode}

Season and episode numbers are 1-indexed and required (e.g. /embed/tv/1399/1/1).

Example

iframe
<iframe src="https://embedwave.cc/embed/movie/533535"
  allowfullscreen
  allow="autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; encrypted-media"
  referrerpolicy="no-referrer"></iframe>

Parameters

ParamExampleWhat it does
server?server=cinesrcPins the backend instead of the default. Values:
autoplay?autoplay=1Requests autoplay from the upstream player. Viewers’ browsers may still block it.
nobrand?nobrand=1Hides the small “Powered by” badge. Reserved for partners — keep the badge if you can.

Available server values (first = default):

servers
  nxsha  (Multi HD)
  cinesrc  (Cinesrc)
  videasy  (4K)

Drop-in migration

The URL shape matches the common /embed/movie/{tmdb_id} format used by most providers. Migrating is a find-and-replace of the domain in your existing iframe sources.

Fair use

The player routes to third-party upstream sources. We don’t host any video. Rights holders: see the DMCA page for takedown requests. Webmasters: embed responsibly, respect your own jurisdictions.

Status & mirrors

A public status page and mirror-domain announcements are on the roadmap. For now, report outages to [email protected].
